Dr. Jonathan Michel is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Michel is a member of the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery and has completed almost a thousand procedures during his fellowship in facial cosmetics, including Hair Transplants, Browlifts, Endoscopic Browlifts, Blepharoplasty, Otoplasty, Rhinoplasty, Facial Implants, Chin Implants, Genioplasty, Fat Transfer, Facelift, Mini Facelift, Neck Lift, Liposuction, and Buccal Fat Pad Reduction.

Dr. Michel earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine. He then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Michel completed a Facial Cosmetic Surgery fellowship at the Williamson Cosmetic Center in Baton Rouge, LA, where he performed over 900 cosmetic procedures. During his fellowship, he taught cosmetic surgery, dermal fillers, and chemical denervation to Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents at Louisiana State University. After finishing his training Dr. Michel and his wife Leighanne (an Emergency Medicine Physician) decided to move back to New Jersey to start a family and join Riverside Oral Surgery.

Dr. Michel’s unique training allows him to manage complex conditions of the aging face, craniomaxillofacial trauma, skeletal discrepancies of the jaw (orthognathic surgery), pathology of the face, and other aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery with the skill and precision to provide excellent technical care and superb esthetic results.

In his spare time, Dr. Michel still plays ice hockey, and golf, and enjoys hiking with his wife Leighanne, son Jackson, and rescue dog Chloe.
