Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Sebastian Mendoza completed his undergraduate studies in Health Sciences at Boston University before obtaining his DMD degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, receiving the L. Deckle McLean Scholarship, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Student Award, and the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Implant Dentistry Award for his hard work and dedication to the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He was accepted into the four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York Medical College, practicing in both NYC and Westchester Medical Center, where he served as Chief resident. Completing his residency at a level 1 trauma center that serves 3.5 million people has exposed Dr. Mendoza to a wide array of trauma and diverse pathologies. During his training, he also became well-versed in surgical and nonsurgical cosmetics, IV sedation, pediatrics, wisdom teeth, dental implants, infections, TMJ, and orthognathic surgery, with a specialized focus on full-mouth implant cases, having successfully completed over 300 cases.
Dr. Mendoza is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the New Jersey Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, which allows him to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field. Outside of work, Dr. Mendoza enjoys spending time with his wife and two Shih Tzu dogs and is a huge soccer enthusiast.
