With extensive hospital-based training and experience managing a wide range of surgical conditions, Dr. Jacobson brings a calm, attentive approach to treatment and takes pride in helping patients understand their options and feel confident in their care.
  • Dr. Jacobson earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine before completing a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital Center. He continued his training at Kings County through an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship and residency, ultimately serving as Chief Resident. His training provided broad exposure to oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as internal medicine, anesthesia, general and trauma surgery, surgical intensive care, otolaryngology, and plastic surgery.
  • Throughout his surgical training, Dr. Jacobson developed experience caring for patients with complex needs in both clinical and hospital settings. His background includes dedicated training in pediatric anesthesia at Maimonides Hospital as well as craniofacial surgery experience at Staten Island University Hospital, where he participated in procedures including cleft lip and palate repair and craniofacial distraction. These experiences have shaped a comprehensive approach to care grounded in careful planning, patient safety, and collaboration across specialties.
    Dr. Jacobson remains actively engaged in the oral and maxillofacial surgery community and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, and New York State Dental Association. He has also contributed to academic research in the specialty, including work involving rare pathology of the jaw.
