Dr. Arthur Greenwald is a highly accomplished board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, renowned by both patients and colleagues for providing exceptional care in his Edison, NJ office for over 40 years. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Greenwald has made outstanding achievements in education, military service, and professional contributions to the dental community. We are incredibly honored that he has chosen Riverside Oral Surgery to further his legacy and continue to provide the optimal patient experience for years to come.
A native New Jerseyan, Arthur began his career in dentistry earning both his undergraduate and dental degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He established himself as a leader early in his career, as he was awarded the C.V. Mosby Scholarship Award and selected as president to the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and the Sophomore Class. After earning his dental degree, Arthur bravely enlisted in the United State Army, stationed in Ft. Knox, Kentucky and the Republic of Vietnam. During his service, he was Captain to the US Army Dental Corps and was awarded the Vietnam Service Ribbon, as well as the Army Commendation Medal.
Dr. Greenwald’s postgraduate studies then continued at the former Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, where he was appointed Chief Resident of Oral Surgery. Shortly after, he served as a full-time faculty member and continued to make significant contributions as a highly respected educator. Dr. Greenwald has consulted on the NJ State Board of Dentistry for Oral Surgery and acted as Director for the Department of Dentistry at JFK Medical Center. Today, he continues to stay involved as Chairman on the Credentials Committee and Chairman of Oral Surgery, both at JFK Medical Center.
Dr. Greenwald remains a pillar of the dental community as an active member of several professional societies and a published contributor in The Journal of Oral Surgery, The Journal of the New Jersey Dental Association, and Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology. He continues to serve as an influential member of the American Dental Association, American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, NJ Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, NJ Dental Association. He is also past president of the NJ Dental Society of Anesthesiology and Middlesex County Dental Society and remains as a contributing member to both organizations today.
Above all, Dr. Greenwald is a proud husband to his lovely wife, Marianne, former deputy attorney general for the State of NJ. In his free time, he enjoys golf, boating on Lake George, theater, and spending time with his family. We are incredibly grateful to have him on the Riverside Oral Surgery Team.
